The Impact:
Reduce equipment purchases, and save money in the process.

Details
Purchasing new equipment has an environmental impact through the extraction and consumption of raw materials, manufacturing energy, packaging, and transport. For many items, the production and disposal phase contributes a large part of total environmental footprint. You can save resources and money using equipment for as long as possible rather than buying and disposing equipment regularly.
Consider how you can extend the life of existing devices, for example, by repair, sharing, or purchasing used equipment.
