Solvents can evaporate quickly and contribute to volatile emissions in the (laboratory) environment. Ensuring that solvent waste containers, solvent bottles, and HPLC reservoirs are properly closed or fitted with safety caps can significantly reduce these emissions. Where feasible, solvents should be collected for reuse or recycling to minimise waste. These solvents in return can also be used for washing glassware or other feasible applications.
