Details

This action encourages chemists to asess the negative environmental impacts of new methods and include the assessments in publications. Software tools (e.g., AGREE for analytical methods, AGREEprep for sample preparation, Chem21 and DoZN tools for chemical reactions) are used to evaluate methods based on sustainability criteria. Green analytical chemistry focuses on minimising the negative environmental impact of chemical analysis. AGREE, short for Analytical GREEnness Metric Approach and Software, aims to help researchers with an open access tool to assess an analytical method's greenness. AGREEprep adresses sample preparation.
