Equipment should be sourced to be repairable, with interoperable parts where possible. Software support for equipment should also be considered. The energy, water, and consumables resources of the equipment should be assessed and scored at the time of tender. Where possible, life cycle assessments (LCA) are provided with the procurements. End of life considerations should be explored and requested at time of tender, with takeback schemes given preference when making purchasing decisions.
For some supplier level requirements below, it may be that your organisation ensures this. Engage with your local procurement manager to understand if they are, and how you can ensure sustainability is factored in.
