The Impact:
Reduces the amount of energy required to maintain the correct working temperatures of the room for the instruments. Also can ensure better longevity of the instruments as they are maintained at the correct temperatures, thus reducing the chances of breakdown leading to their replacement. Some instruments are also very temperature sensitive meaning the data produced could be affected.

Details
Mass spectrometers require to be in a room where temperature is maintained relatively cool to prevent overheating and also ensure optimum instrument performance. Make sure not to overpopualte the room as this would cause high temperatures leading to air conditioning units to work harder plus could lead to overheating of temperatures leading to potential breakdowns.
