Details

Switching off laboratory equipment when not in use is one of the simplest ways to reduce energy consumption. By identifying which items can be switched off and when, defining clear rules for each device, and communicating to users, research groups can reduce energy without affecting research quality & safety.

Examples for equipment are drying cabinets, laminar flow cabinets, hot plates, heating blocks, rotary evaporators, chilled centrifuges, vacuum pumps, ovens, incubators and water baths.
