The Impact:
Understand the current services used by the group as well the electricity sources of each service.

Details
There is a list of the computing infrastructures (i.e. buildings, data centres) used by the group, including both on-site (e.g. local or institutional data centres, servers in the office) and off-site (e.g. remote institutional computing facilities nd commercial cloud providers). This inventory is updated regularly (frequency depends on field, at least yearly). It is recommended to coordinate with any central IT teams and the IT estate to ensure that this list is comprehensive. Any infrastructure that the group is using (or can be reasonably expected to use at some point) should be included.
How?
This inventory should at least include, for each on-site data centre: location, Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE), cooling technology used, and information on the electricity sources of each infrastructure (i.e. either main power grid, most common, or dedicated power source such as a solar farm). Power purchase agreements can be mentioned, but don’t replace listing the primary source . Noteworthy energy efficiency technology implemented can be included in this inventory.
For cloud providers: company providing the service, location of the data centres, PUE and hardware if you can find it.
If you’re using your own computing infrastructure, e.g. servers in the office, the reason for doing so should be stated.
